While changing caps at C1 on the Aksa amps, my sleeve caught the edge of the ceramic resistors that are under the amp board, where bias is checked. This caused a ring that was almost like a musical instrument. Guest this resonance was amplified by the heat sink. Maybe when the heat sinks are screwed in, it might not ring so much. Anyway I hot glued the corners of the ceramic resistors and the RTX cap to the board so they wouldn't ring. I think it made a difference in sound, but I can't be sure. I have a tri-amp system and did this to the tweeter and midrange amps. I only changed C1 on the tweeter amp and the improvement in the tweeter amp was so great it overpowered the slight improvement I think is there in the midrange. Improvement to midrange is quite difficult listen for. Anyway, maybe someone else could see if this is an improvement.
