Hi Kyrill,

Very, very sharp - excellent eyes!!

Oz Audio's AKSA is an older one, Version 1.6, with drivers mounted off the heatsink, and standing up without heatsinking an inch back from the edge of the heatsink flange.

The Version 2.0 board which has been around for about 18 months now has its drivers on the heatsink, attached via small M3 studs.  This improves quiescent control, but does not change sonics.  I have also moved away from the MJE15030/31 drivers towards cheaper and faster Toshiba 2SC4793/2SA1837 drivers;  these are actually recommended for the 5200/1943 outputs by Toshiba and have never caused a moments problem.  They do not have the current capacity of the OnSemi devices, but even in the 100W AKSA they have never caused any problem.

Cheers,

Hugh
