Title: My AR ES-1 turntable needs attention!

I have an AR ES-1 turntable that is need of some medical attention.  It has a Jelco tonearm that is in good shape, but there is an obvious grounding issue and the motor is fairly noisy.  Should I tackle this myself of send it off to someone like VinylNirvana to refurbish?   Are parts (motors, etc.) available?

Advise gladly accepted.

Have you looked on EBay? Lots of AR parts on there.
