Danny , I need to keep the N3 close to the wall  in a surround system  with A/V-1RS in the rear and  a sealed dual servo SW-12 sub. Would I be better off not building the towers with the TL port in the N3 or can they port out the side? I still need to order N3S for the center.   Thanks , Paul

Thanks TrungT,  I guess I asked the wrong question. If I build the TL port on the back of the enclosure, does it matter if it is close to the wall when using a sub to complete a surround speaker system? I prefer not to port out the front , that is why I questioned a side port.

If you are using sub, you can plug the ports.

Options - put port in front & make a grill for it or Just use the N3s all up front.

If you run the ports (TL opening) out the back then you need to get them at least a foot off the wall.
