There also is street parking on Buckley, on the right hand side, just north of the house.

Don represented with his new Dynakit/Reveal ST70 in the Heywood Wakefield room, with an assist from a pair of IMF Reference 80s.

Tim, they are thiel CS3.6s.

It was a very packed listening session, with twenty people making it down for a spell. Thanks to everyone for coming down, and helping out with tasties and sips.

A very special thanks to Don and Willie for sharing their amps All afternoon. It takes no small courage to bring them over to a strange room that may not necessarily show their best abilities. It is always a treat to hear other flavors, and to find out how the newest of offerings, and the newer old is new amp camp offering operates.

A particular humerous observation was watching the exodus from the Altec room as we bounced from jazz to Anonymous Four plainsong to King Crimsom Larks Tounges in Aspic. Mary Kay loved the plainsong and thanked everyone for putting up with it! Others like the jazz more, still others were fans of King Crimson’s strangest album.

Had a splendid time. Thanks, Dave and crew

Don V pulled info on the Dynaco from here: http://www.dynaco.com/. My info was erroneous, from a Dynaco kit build that differs from what Don brought. Info on that (for the curious) is here: https://www.dynakitparts.com/shop/st-70-kit-120-vac/. They have a non-7199 version as well.

Ladies and Gents - had a great time today greeting old friends and making some new ones.  I loved Willie’s single-ended 45’s - very cool.

Dave, your basement is like a museum of audio history - always something new to look at and talk about.  Those IMF monitors you had upstairs are treasures !  I also got to meet Mrs. S !  David, you are a very lucky dude - she’s a saint and a lot of fun to boot, but you already knew that.

Great fun.  Hope we can all get together again, soon.

Thanks Debbie and Don, it is always fun to look around and see everyone talking to one another. I never have enough time to talk with anyone for more than a few minutes, but I have come to realize that everyone can cover that aspect quite well.

I just have to make sure everyone has something to drink, we don’t run out of plates, and that Liam has enough to eat, and this time he did...barely.  :P

Out of curiosity, what was your favorite room, and favored cd played in the room?

I would love to listen to the LeGrand Jazz album on all three systems, and hear what different aspects really flew the flag well, and which songs really sang on each system.

Daves,

Super nice event, congratulations.  Are the amplifiers you posted pictures of all in your stable, or a collection of Gateway members?  Mostly, DIY? That should have been a weekend long event with all that equipment.   :D

Rusty, that is part of the stable. We have lots of folks here in Missouri with population explosions of gear.
