GAS Ampzilla

I will be looking at one of these in a couple days. Do any of you remember how these sounded, and how reliable are they once they are brought back up to speed? Do they have speaker protection, or are they like the early Flame Linears?

They sound pretty good when working well with the original parts. The bias transistor array is no longer available. A good substitute I believe is also no longer available. Get one that is working!

I had one way back in the day, but didn't know where it fell in the continuum of gear ranking and reliability. We are talking about 1975, so hitting the collective brain trust is a good idea for some of these ancient amps. I know about 90% of the tube gear, but only half of the SS gear.
