CMA600i is a great DAC + preamp + headphone amp. The Current Mode Amplification has excellent sounding drive. I use it mostly as a DAC + preamp for my speakers setup. I had the Topping D50 previously, and when I plugged in the Questyle, I thought I added a new subwoofer. Bass became tighter and more visceral in a fantastic way, while still maintaining good balance with mids and treble. Excellent imaging.
After comparing it to Chord DAVE at a friend's place, it is no match for DAVE at 8x its price... but we found that the Questyle is a superb sounding DAC for its price. Check the reviews below.
