Hey, did you get to witness the Cord/Auburn/Dues Anniversary and parade that happened a few years ago?

Not sure, they have a parade every labor day to celebrate a particular year and model.  Then they have a BIG auction, like 5000 collector cars, they have another 5000 in the fields for sale by owner as well.

Cars you'd like to have....

I'd like to have a car I owned in the past....a 1967 Triumph Spitfire...... :D

It was a fun sports car....but....very low to the ground (small)....and the NY streets were not kind (potholes)....and then this jerk runs a stop sign....smash....that was the end.

A good car for a country run....but not the city. :?

In the achievable vein - Porsche Cayman (S or otherwise, what a knock out car!)

In the wish list - AC Cobra (any motor, just love the form factor), Ferrari Dyno Spyder, BMW M Coupe (yes I am twisted), Jaguar XKE V12

I am a little partial to the Can Am version though. I just love that open top.

A cousin in Cincinnati, OH owns two of them.  Bought them new when they first came out (the 289s) and still owns them, though I've seen neither since he drove one down to Tennessee when I was a young 'un.

He claims to have modified and raced them back in the day, and I believe him.  He's a weird cat, but I've no reason to believe he's a liar.

BMW 118d  :thumb:

Or a VW Golf GT with the TSI 1.4.

Two cars we may never see here in the States :|

I second this!
I've "butted" the seats in a BMW 118 myself, and it is sweet!!!

But, I already have white german though... here be my baby...scuun!!

It's a 2 liter diesel as well this one. Not much power, but and yes I'm a loonie... aa
I've got it set up with race camber and dense shocks and stuff like that...
It goes like on rails!!! And wears the tires... hehe.
But it hugs corners like a sick puppy!!! I've had fast cars behind me, and then comes a really tight set of turns...
and they are far behind... HAHAHAHA!!!!  :thumb:
It never gets old...   :icon_twisted:

And in my mind it's this one I'm driving...
A 2008 S500 AMG 4matic...

With Kleemann supercharger of course... Then there is the price...
In Norway it will cost 430.000 dollars these days... Ouch!!! Not fair!!!

I can't believe Daygloworange hasn't checked in here.  Must be really busy right now.  As the Canada connection, he ALWAYS has some interesting cars to point us to...  hello DGO?

After posting my choice, I'm still dreaming of just a few hours of track time with that latest GT2.... or maybe the Lotus, Atom, etc.

Agreed!! I forgot all about the GTV6. I used to work for a fella that had a few of them. Very cool cars.
Working on them I actually found slightly fun. ha ha ha
I love that car.

The BMW 1-series has also been made in a coupe now, and will come in a cab version soon also!
The 123D(twin turbo diesel 204Hp) and the 135i(Twin turbo straight six, 306hp) looks like this:

Hm... looks cool!

The 135i is then faster than the new M3...

I'm a simple guy.... Nothin' too fancy......

Ya right!

This is the car that I'd love to have one day. The McLaren F1. Center driving position, 625 naturally aspirated hp, virtually no flywheel to spool up, no traction control, 3.2 sec 0-60 mph, 240+ mph top speed. Can you say "Come to Papa!"

In lieu of the McLaren, I'll settle for this Porsche 914/6. One of the baddest Porsches you'll ever loose your lunch in! Just a dynamite track car that can have Porsche 911's for breakfast!   :icon_twisted:

Cheers

It doesn't look as appetizing as the one in your photos, but this one is available and looks to be reasonably affordable.

Used to have a 914-4 that exact color!  But the 6 is a really sweet car.  I wonder if the guy would
take a brand new Meridian 808 in trade!!!
