Nx Otica connected directly to servo subs
« on: 20 Feb 2024, 11:09 am »
Hi. Can anyone tell me if this would work?
I would like to install a 2nd pair of connectors on the otica that would connect directly to the speaker level inputs on the rythmik amp.

Is there any reason why this wouldnt work or isnt recommended?

TIA

You should label them or people might assume you have separate tweeter / woofer connections.

Another option is to get stackable connectors.

KLE banana plugs work great as high quality low mass stackable connectors provided you don't have overly heavy speaker cables. I ran mine double stacked like that for quite some time.

Or you could just run the speaker output direct to the servo subs and then jumper from there to the speakers.   I've been running my Double Troubles with my X-Statics like that for almost two years now without issue.  Is it ideal?   Probably not, but it works.    :thumb:

You can parallel a second set of tube connector for making the loop.

We did that on the Bully model. Check out the picture of the back panel on our site: https://gr-research.com/product/old-school-bully-kit/
