P.Audio SD-18

I know that Danny has some experience with P.Audio, and I have found a pair of 18"s in my area for a great deal.  Any ideas on application? I am interested in both open or infinite baffle.  98db/33 hz fs/.26 qts/5.0 mm xmax/264.3 liter Vas

John Busch did an OB with the 18" P-Audio driver (MBBC) that he showed at LSAF a few years back. Don't know if it is the same driver as the SD-18, but it was definitely an 18" coax.

Contact him at his website (manzanitaaudiosolutions.com) or PM "Pano" on the the diyaudio.com site for more info

I never chose to do anything with those larger drivers for several reasons. For one the off axis response of the larger driver will fall off faster then the tweeter can fill it in. And it is heavier and slower. Plus it forces the baffle to be wide and that hurts imaging and layering.

Still some may find it quite good in other areas and still enjoy them very much.
