Caught Lyle @ the 'RiverSplash' last nite, sitting on the steps of the Arch.
Absolutely top-notch act with Lyle and 10 man band playing for 2:15
last nite, straight thru. Even had a local choir out there for a song or two.
Excellent musician and songs, and a most gracious host who mentioned almost every player after almost every song.
Best free concert in many a year.
It even sounded good the way they had speakers way out on the left side for folks to hear properly.
The concrete steps were...concrete steps and my boney a** wasn't fond of them, nor the sardinelike manner in which all the people got packed in, but I guess that come with 'free' and crowds anymore.
I love mankind, but I sure wish a lot of them folks last nite woulda taken a jump in the river, as individuals.
So, just a quick nudge of whatcha missed most recently. BBKing and DrJohn oughta be a hoot next week, but the crowds will keep me away.
