Just a note to recognize the 1000th post to this forum......not bad for a forum that five months ago didn't exist and which initially seemed to have few interested owners......thanks all for the continued participation.

How do I (or can I) start a new post?  I am looking for some help in figuring out what a resonable sale price for some VR 3s would be?

Thanks.

How do I (or can I) start a new post?

Just go to the Von Schweikert Audio Owners circle http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=139.0 and in the upper right hand tab bar click New Topic.

Greetings!

Former VSA customer (VR4.5 Silver Anniversary's circa 99-03) and former UK distributor of VSA products (circa 2003 & 2004).  No longer in audio business due to health problems and no longer have an audio system but I still like to check in from time to time to see what's going on.

Wishing you VSA owners continued love and enjoyment of the music.

Hello everybody,

Have been reading this forum for many years and finally decided to join in :)

I have used the VR5 HSE for the past 7 years and have changed to VR5 Anni recently.  It is a worthwhile upgrade towards audio nirvana

Hello Everyone,
I am new to Audiocircle and wanted to introduce myself. Had a chance to visit THE Show at newport beach, where i bumped into the Von Schweikert room. After listening to the speakers and chatting with Albert there, my interest in VSA has grown immensely.

Here is my home theater setup ...

Speakers:  fronts are Vienna Acoustics Haydn Grand bookshelves with Theatro Grand center. surrounds are aperion audio  4b satellites.
Subwoofer: Velodyne DD 10
Receiver: Denon 3311ci
Player: Oppo bdp-80

For reasons not totally clear to me.. i seem to prefer bookshelf + subwoofer combo over floor standers.

Done right it can definitely be awesome. Two years ago we did Unifield Ones with a pair of Rhythmik 12s. It was the talk of the town for weeks.

All the rag "reviewers" say it's the imaging that's better with monitors.  Could be but one thing is for sure, you take any of Albert's monitors, put them on good stands and run them with dual subs and you've got giant killers.

Not sure if this is the right spot for an intro post but here goes:
I'm new to AC and found the forum when searching for info on a VRS-1 sub.
I have lots of headphone audio "stuff" and a modest 2 ch speaker system with VR-1 mains and a VRS-1 sub.
I have a VPI Scout TT, a Ray Samuels Stealth pre and an Audio Research Tube power amp as well as a Meridian 508.20 CDP.
I live in Reno, NV and enjoy collecting vinyl, playing golf, backcountry skiing and travel
I speak Swiss-German and French as well as English.
I'm looking forward to participation in the forum(s).

Welcome CPW -- generally you can make a new posting introducing yourself via a separate thread rather than adding it here but I realize the guidance is less than clear on this -- either way,  no harm done and welcome aboard!!

Gentle reminder to new folks, a few of which we've attracted recently -- please read before posting -- new AC members' posts are put on a moderation hold for their first few posts and while I am generally pretty easy going on this, we DO like to have new folks introduce themselves first to the group in a distinct post (or even here if that's easier).
Peace out

Golly, I'm late to this party. Jan 2016?! :-D (Nice Annies, @nc42acc!)

I posted for the first time yesterday, and am finding my way into some different circles to see what's happening.

I'm in this one because I have a pair of VR-7 References that I lovelovelove, and it's always nice to hear what other people have found that's new and exciting. OK, time for me to get reading!
