Post by: Groovin on 16 Oct 2020, 12:18 am
Someone's opinion please I have recently bought the Carnegie CST-1 with upgrades from GR Reaserch. And my question            I can get a Yamaha AS 2200. For $2000 would that be a great fit I know the price is good and then was going to get a dac around $800  opinions please good or bad

What do you have in mind for a DAC?

R2R/Ladder for NOS (non-oversampling)? DSD capable? Other??

I'll take a look at the AS2200 and offer thoughts....

I've read very nice things about the Topping D90. That is probably better than the first integrated amp suggestion I made in my email.

I was thinking I would have 2800 invested and could do everything I would need it for

Hmm. I would have suggested that you should have gotten an AVA (Van Alstine) Control Amp or an Odyssey Audio Cyclops integrated and would have used the cash for a better set of speakers.

2800 would be for the Yamaha and topping I already have the speakers and there great speakers for under 2000
