A used pair of Audioengine A2 just sold on Audiogon for $165 shipped.  For that price, might as well buy new ($179 shipped):

The planars look cool.

I just picked up some Logitech X140s... $29 and not bad.Really. No really. ;)

Yep - I was eyeballing those on agon also.  I might as well just go and support my local B & M store for $199 for the instant gratification.

The Monsoon Planars are really cool, great sounding, bang for the buck.  Too bad the company went out of business.

I had a NOS pair of Planar 9s for 3 years I never used because they didn't fit my desk / monitor arrangement.  I gave them to a musician friend to hopefully rub some good audiophile sounds off on him and he absolutely loves them.  They sound better than his regular stereo system.  He doesn't want to give them back.  Oh well, that's what friends are for.

Thx

Yes, just google for Audio Engine discount coupons (I think they are typically 10% or 15%).

Really, for the difference between new and used, I would just buy brand new.
