Kevin sweet pics but you should state that the price is for one driver.  People may assume that the price is for a pair.

Very nice indeed!
I'll be eagerly awaiting a 5.5 or 6.5" version of this driver. I hope it happens.

Thanks

The Extremis is going to be the 6.5" version.   It won't have the fancy phase plug for a couple reasons that have to do with break-up nodes and maximizing the Sd of the driver for 2-way applications.

It also has less usable high frequency bandwidth due to higher inductance but you don't want to use a driver that large full range anyway due to the narrowing polar response as you get higher in frequency.

The Extremis 6.5" should be available in a few weeks.

I thought I read some where that the Extremis uses a Poly cone? If so, I would think this is inferior to paper. Thoughts?
Thanks

The poly cone has a lot of benefits in terms of low weight/stiffness ratios and Dan & Dave have worked on the edge termination extensively to control cone break-up.

In terms of subjective characterization of the various cone materials I think that a lot of people jump to conclusions.  The popularity of a given cone material seems to be more a function of cultural factors rather than one based upon research or engineering.

The pictures are of the 16 ohm version WR125ST.   We have both for sale and I'm working on the web site to reflect both choices.
