What the NFL should have done
« on: 22 Nov 2014, 06:55 am »
You all have seen what happened in Buffalo NY. It is beyond discription!. With the terrible press that the NFL is having lately, and the New York Jets dismal season, why didn't the Jets make an effort to go to Buffalo to help shovel out the people in their own state? Can't million dollar egos that were picked up by snowmobiles to get to Detroit for a meaningless game flex their biceps and triceps for the betterment of the people that pay to watch them, are the NFL guys too cool to man a shovel?.......The head of the NFL should of picked up on this but is or was too stupid to do so....Roger who?......Mark Korda

If a player gets injured on a snowmobile crash....plus no one's going to use a shovel - not only impractical and risk injury. You need heavy equipment operated by qualified people to move tons of snow.

Why play in Detroit (they'll end up giving away tickets - look for the homeless warming up in the stands) versus New Jersey?

Why does the NFL schedule outdoor games in December/January anyway?  It's fun to watch at least one really bad weather game per year, but playing into December/January is just asking for trouble.  I know they can sell tickets/TV/etc. but it's ridiculous.

(I know this is November and a freak storm.)
