Okay, a popcorn flick to be sure but I quite enjoyed it!  I was a big fan of the original games and a big PS guy in the 90's so I have a soft spot for Ms. Croft.  The movie is better than it needed to be!  Alicia Vikander is among my favorite actresses working today and she fills the bill admirably.  She got quite ripped for the role and it works!  The new Lara Croft is lithe and athletic, not just a top heavy sexpot.  The plot is absurd as you would expect, mostly an excuse to get Lara into the field.  But if you go into it looking for some escapist entertainment and not Shindler's List you may be pleased.

Thanks for the review. The advertisements make the movie worth going too!
