Can I buy a DAC that will increase the output voltage of my DVD player using its digital output? Or is the digital output already going to have a higher output voltage?
Somewhere I read that all DACs lower the overall output voltage. Is that true?
My dvd player is running into an all tube 2 channel stereo system with speakers in front and speakers in back. You could call it a 4-way stereo setup, I guess.
The dvd player is an Oppo 981, the pre and amps are all tubes into maggies. The pre does not have a digital input.
