Man those coke bottle "g"'s are pretty interesting sounding!
I keep coming back to my short waist mullard though. I just received two NOS mullards, both with regular base heights and they don't sound as sweet as this short base.

heads up, the short base ez35 has gone south.
these tubes seem like old VW's, they run the best right before they blow up.
I ebayed an arc branded 6x5g from israel and it is the one I keep coming back to.
Have had a bunch of system changes and it has changed my perception of a bunch of my b stock tubes.
The sylvania 6sn7's and 12v variants sound great now.
Funny, the stuff that was too bright before sounds perfect now.
I have replaced my integrated luxman with a CJ mf200 that was modded by Bill Thalman at music technologies.
I also just received a set of Duke Legeunes swarm subwoofers that are designed for planars.

Many changes, I am glad I saved these tubes I didn't like before.
