Title: nCore DIY dual xlr inputs?
Post by: spreadspectrum on 22 Jun 2013, 03:38 pm
I was hoping to get some advice on a possible Hypex nCore 400 project.

I have been largely holding out on building these because of a somewhat peculiar need of mine - that is, I require two inputs on the amplifier.  The reason for this is not necessarily important.  What I am interested in is whether or not it is possible to wire a second xlr input without any technical risks or issues.  The two sources would never be on at the same time.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Ryan

You could put as many additional inputs as you wish, as long as you don't try inputting signal into more than one set at a time. For safety sake, you could wire in a switch to change between them so that never happens.

Why not throw in an input selector and an attenuator? Makes a nice integrated amp! :D
