Based on the spelling of "labour", I am going to guess no. :)
-
No, i am not. Im looking for Unit to work on a 220-240 Volts.

Ah, yes, should have spotted that despite English only being my 3rd language :)
-
No, i am not.
So where are you based (just to figure out if freight costs would be excessive)?
-
Iv just sent you a PM, I have a USA Address you can ship too. I will take care of the rest from there. Just need Good quality power supply and i have a few questions. I am not technical person when it comes to Audio products. Still learning allot from Forums.

Any reason not to go for the Hypex SMPS600 as a power supply?
-
No reason that can do, just thought if there are better power supply and it does not cost too much more as an option then yes i could consider other options.
-
too bad the guy that did mine doesn't like building them
i sent him the chasis, ncore, smps, iec, binding posts and xlrs
he charged me 50 bucks to build each one and he provided the other hardware needed. took him 2 months between his other projects.

Haven't found anything provably better so far. The SMPS600 is designed to work with the nCores, after all.

What's the reason he doesn't like building them?

What's the reason he doesn't like building them?
the man is too busy building other on other sites, he only did it for me because i've bought many headphone amps from him in the past. Probably more of a favor then anything, he did take 2 months, but my bill was only 150 for 3 amps built, that is probably much less then any other builder around that charges hourly fees.

So he must actually have liked building them if he did it at that price :)

i mean i can't complain, he read the entire thread on audiocircle and diyaudio before building it too.

Wow! In that case 150 doesn't even begin to compensate his lost time :)

How long does it take average to build the whole unit if all the parts are available onsite?

~2 hrs.
Yes, if all you have to do is put together the parts. If you actually have to punch holes for connectors etc, it takes more time, and same thing if you have to do any mods like changing the gain.

I took my time. Including creating the speaker connector cables, it was 5 hours. My chassis was precut with all the holes needed, which saved a lot of time. I'm not sure who sells precut and drilled chassis now.
-
OK any quotes on build? im looking for Mono Amps in smaller chassis.

I would never consider cutting chassis holes for this build with a drill press, though I'm sure some have done it successfully.
-
The SMPS600 should work fine at 220V; it is built to sense incoming voltage and adjust accordingly

Hi Julf,
I am interested in hiring a forum member to build me nCore mono amps. Are you interested in building a pair? You are welcome to PM me if you prefer.
Thanks in advance for your response.

A nice cottage industry is growing here on the AC.

Thanks, but my schedule just got crazy busy for the next couple of months :(
-
You probably will have better chances to find someone if you will publish:
- list of all parts you want to put together (modules, chassis, connectors, etc.)
- price you're willing to pay
- time frame for build
-
I charge $150 build fee for stereo (one or two power supplies) or two mono blocks (one power supply each) + my discounted shipping/insurance cost anywhere worldwide (about $35 to 48 states). Buyer will have tracking number within two business days after all parts arrive. My website will soon have build page listing all parts suppliers and prices: sum total cost parts and parts shipping about $1675/pr mono blocs, sum total cost stereo/single power supply about $1400ea. Ship parts to my address when you purchase parts. I successfully built eight Ncore mono blocks and have long prior build history including amps from scratch and professional speaker build history, etc.
