Trondheim Audio show 2007
10 - 11 november. First time Trondheim gets a real audio show! Woho! And it was a great show!! As you see, there are some brands on these images that most of you have never heard of. Local makers of audio mostly from Norway and such.
Mcintosh "Big rig" with Esoteric and Isotek "nova"
Marten Coltrane Supreme
Mr Marten (Olofson) and Mr Jorma for scale. These speakers are not big! They do pack a huge sound however!
6600 Everest and the Mcintosh/Esoteric "Big Rig"
Eben Ayra C3.0 (powered by Densen gear) Only had a very short listen to this set. But this speaker is quite amazing! I've never quite taken to the Eben sound earlier, but with this model they have nailed it! The only pair at the show that had me doing a quick math game on my economy! That's just how impressed I was! This is my personal thinking of course, but this is a freekin miracle of a speaker!!! I hope to hear this set again, as this really did peak my fancy!
JBL 6600 "Everest"
Einstein and Bladelius Grendel and Jorma cables powered the hyper expensive "Statement" system. The Grendel is an A/V amp actually, can be set up in a lot of ways. 8KW switch mode psu... !! driving Class A/B outputs, discret bipolar and mofets. You can have as I understand it say 4 channels, 2 bipolar cards for the low end and 2 mosfet cards for the mids and high end! Quite cool! Einstein I don't know much about, but it is using the 6c33 tubes!
Etera and Nemo Well, nemo should be 'nuf said I guess. Etera is an older design (this being the latest revision - on the picture - Gen III I believe) by Geir Fredriksen (Adyton.) I've heard it play Rammstein with power/drive and immence weight and the next minute classical and then jazz and so on. You just hear the music. Set up correctly it has a big sweetspot, throwing the music very far into a room. If you look at the sylinder on the back of the speaker there... it's the filter! Huge stuff! Geir Frederiksen is a great filter designer, perhaps one of the best. I'm a fan! nuf said!
Odin cables connected to Adyton Imagic 2.0
Adyton Imagic 2.0 and AP minos sub, one pr speaker. Notice the circle pattern on the carpet.. Audiocircles? Hehe. Well, I just noticed it myself! Anyway, this speaker is able to soak up 900w continously...93db sensitive. 80hz to 100.000hz , so subs are needed obviously. This is the most sold "ultra" Hi-End speaker in Norway I'm told. Think Pipedreams married to Martin Logan larger models and you've got a general idea of how these towers treat the signal.
Wadia 581 driving two Adyton Cordis 1.8 in bridge-mode (2000w each !!) - (Driving the line source Imagic speakers) The Adyton Cordis 1.8 as monoblock has infinite dampening factor. 2000w/8-Ohms in this config. As far as I know this makes it the most "grippy" or powerfull transistor amplifier in existence.
