A good article for your brother in law who's looking for headphones, but nothing new for most of the members here. But perhaps there's a point of contention to inspire discussion here. Bass. The article says planer phones have more bass than dynamic phones, my experience is the opposite. A lot of that may come from planer models being mostly open backed, while dynamic phones split the gamut from open to semi open to closed back. What do you think?
