Thanks to a friend in the industry I have discovered a better clock for the Freeway 2 and Freeway I2S. This clock is extremely low jitter, close to a Superclock4. It only adds $10 to the price of the Freeway. ($650 with the new firmware)
My wife and I wil be sitting down for a listening session soon to compare the Freeway I2S to the Off-Ramp I2S. A quick listen was hard to tell the difference. There was a slight difference, but not sure which one is better.
I have ordered a batch of these, but I will not have them for about 6 weeks. Anyone ordering a Freeway will get the new clock and the new firmware. I also designed it into the rev2 Pace-Car as an option, so this should bring the price down significantly.
