Title: AVP-17 no sound, no change after reset, what could it be?

Hi,

I have this avp 17 for years now suddenly there's no output to the speakers anymore,
Tried reset,.. did setup again turned it off etc. nothing worked.

Read in the older post about a flash problem?

Anyone familliar with this?

Anyone with an idea what components of a preamp can suddenly drop out and cause no audio output?

I'm not familiar with that unit but when I've run into that problem in the past I will remove all connections to the unit and check all switches to be sure I haven't accidentally switched to an input I'm not using ( like an xld connection when I'm using rca's ) or activated a mute function by accident. Unplug the unit so it does not get any power and let it sit for a few minutes then start by connecting one input and see how it goes. If you can't get it going contact Nuprime the new owner of Nuforce. I've had good experiences with Nuforce service in the past. Good luck.

Cheers, unfortunatly it's not that, checked it already.

Nuforce replied "it can be anything" and "we have no parts" "sry" ,............no help from Nuforce I'm afraid.

Guess I have to figure out how to do some diagnostic testing.

Open to suggestions however.
