Almost Home is the French bakery of magnificence in St. Louis, right north of Lindell at Vandeventer near St. Louis University campus. A quick lunch or a bag of incredible baked goods; hit Almost Home and make your wife very happy.

PS... she won’t even notice that amp in the car.

There are enough amps to open a French patisserie! Which one do you want to hear at the session?

I have rehearsal that day from 1:30 until 4 so I'll have to miss it.  It sure sounds like fun.

Mike, The Acrosounds, the Maggotbox SEP, and the Eico HF81s have not previously been played at gatherings.

I'll be there !  I will bring a new Dynaco ST-70 Series 3 which has the dual 12AU7 triode input / driver / phase-splitter stage in place of the old 7199 triode / pentode, (RIP).  Sounds pretty good.

Not exactly homemade, but well worth looking at and listening to "clone".  It also has the latest-greatest A470 Acrosound output transformers - lower insertion loss above 20 KHz than the "classics".  I think is an updated Williamson Ultralinear circuit, but you guys can trace it and tell me.

I also have the new SACD of "LeGrand Jazz".  Sounds magnificent !!

Erik’s Horus inspired SET amp is the early leader in the horse race. We will be able to roll amps in the upstairs system, which has the IMF Reference 80,  Thiel CS1.2 and Snell E2 speakers, Don. The systems downstairs will be static, as the house will be full and getting behind the racks quickly is a problem downstairs.

We will have a couple added features for Sunday’s gathering.

First off, Professor Willie will be providing the world premiere of his 26-26-45 amplifier in the Altec room. He also will present a learned discourse on some of the design features, parts sourcing, and build decisions that have transpired with his latest voltage creation.

Our very own Mr. Don B., retired engineer emeritus of McDonnell/Boeing fame, will preside at the unveiling of his latest effort, a very superlative rendition of the bestselling tube amp of all time, the Dynaco Stereo 70V3, with new 12ax7 driver/splitter boards that nary a person should miss. This will take place in the Heywood Wakefield gallery upstairs.

Finally, Dr. Tarr will present the advantages of low mu preamplifiers in the library, and demonstrate said advantages by utilizing a 10 dB gain pre employing single 37 tubes from the late 1930s. All in all, more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

With the large crown projected to attend, we still could use someone to bring juices and a second for nuts. No editorial commentary needed🤓

David, you are #23. Juices or nuts, please.

We can handle about 7-9 people upstairs, 7 in the Altec room, and about 8 in the den. If you show up late, it would be better, as a couple folks usually leave early.

David is the LAST rsvp - we have no more chairs.

We will have more listening sessions.

Willie and Don, feel free to come early and we will get your amps set up before the crowd arrives.

Everyone, you will need to park on the street. The yard is too soft to park on it. There is good street parking on the north side of Sappington Barracks.
