Looked at the cable reference and found something that seemed fishy... Furutech Nano Liquid http://www.vhaudio.com/contacttreatment.html (http://www.vhaudio.com/contacttreatment.html). Never heard of it but thanks to Google found it contains Squalene Oil. Now I know something about oil having spent ten years in the business but never heard of Squalene Oil. So back to Google. Turns out it is shark liver extract http://portalmarket.com/shark.html (http://portalmarket.com/shark.html). So we treat wire with shark liver extract to improve the contact. I knew it smelled fishy.
