The 'next' at this point is much less.  Even mass market stores that carry CDs have cut down on what they carry.  It's pretty much either online for a larger percent of what CDs I buy or go get them at concerts which I've done lately

Ha...

Hilco's website says it has been "involved with many of the most notable retail restructuring projects in the past 10 years in the U.K. and continental Europe." It lists Borders bookstores and Woolworth's department stores among its many success stories.

And they're pleased enough to state this?

Woolworth's in both the US and UK are now relics...and Borders is bordering on death.

Other than sucking the marrow from the bone of near dead retailers....what does Hilco do to earn income?

Time is passing on for the CD/DVD retailer it seems.

No surprise here.

They had no clue about competitive pricing.

I went to HMV a number of times to buy movies. When I made
mention that their price was significantly higher than the competition
down the block they replied  "that is the price   Period..."
They took this attitude with most of their stores in my area.

Needless to say I quit shopping at their stores.
