A couple under $100, you know, within guidelines.

I own that one in the cherry finish and it works great for my bedroom system.  Love the cable management. Paid about $120 for it last year.

This is an excellent rack for a very reasonable price. I have one and added the extra shelf they sell to make it a five shelf unit.  Very solid and easy to assemble. Check out the 100 + unanimous five-star reviews. 4 shelf version is $99. This "rosenut" finish is "$129, their other finishes are the $99. Mine is in their "espresso" finish, a very nice dark brown.

If you're at all concerned about transmitted or airborne resonance and vibration, I would look at budget racks with MDF shelves versus glass shelves.

We have two of these and they are terrific for the price.

Is the Level 1 $590 for a three level? It's confusing with their terminology. It says $590 a level. Is a "level" each shelf or a set of three shelves?

Do you sell it or something?

The whole shabang, three levels.. My bad thought it was $500. Not cheap and cheerful but cheerful. Not an authorized dealer.

I needed a "rack" for my monoblocks which are on the floor, so I got an 18"x18" ceramic tile for about $5, glued some rubber feet on the bottom and set one of the monos on top of it. Then I got a piece of 18"x16" glass and used epoxy to attach four 6" metal table legs, all of which sit on top of the bottom amp. Second amp sits on top of the glass.

How about a couple of thick maple cutting boards.  Drill four holes in the corners and install a threaded insert and choose the spile of your choice.  Not on carpeted floors or have nice wood floors?  Substitute the spikes with some sort of baby-buggy-rubber-bumpers like the following:

Just some thoughts.

I am also looking for a rack at a reasonable cost. The SGR entry level looks very nice but are you sure the price listed is for the entire 3 shelf rack and not for per shelf ?

Per shelf.  "Level" = shelf.

Just some thoughts.

I'm with Jake on this, except I'd use 80-20 for uprights.  IMO, much nicer than threaded rods.

Two lengths of this would make a 36" high rack:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/T-Slotted-Extrusion-10S-72-Lx1-In-H-80-20-1010-72/321519063462?epid=1217370117&hash=item4adc0791a6

Buy the attaching hardware from same vendor (this makes the total exceed $50, so the shipping is free):

http://www.ebaystores.com/Zoro-Tools/_i.html?_nkw=80-20&

Buy 3 or 4 of these BB boards for shelves:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/24-x-18-x-1-3-4-Wood-Commercial-Restaurant-Solid-Cutting-Board-Butcher-Block/253310538160?hash=item3afa7c11b0

Same vendor has smaller sizes, but 18 x 24 gives generous sized shelving -- great for turntables and large gear.
36" is plenty high enough for a 4th shelf, if your gear allows for it.  I use this exact BB under my TT.

Spend a few bux on stain and poly, and a gorgeous super solid 3 shelf single wide rack can be had for
about $300.  A 4 shelf jobbie will be about $370.  Very basic DIY skills / tools  are required.
As a plus, the 80-20's continuous center channel means the shelf height is infinitely adjustable.

Or go even cheaper by finding some used butcher block (tables, kitchen / restaurant
renovations, etc) on Craigslist and refinish them.  Doing this means you can do double wide,
3 or 4 shelves for the same $$ or less.

That's how I built my rack:

Total height is 34" but uprights are only 32".  As you can see, there's plenty of room for a 4th shelf if desired.

I originally built a taller 4 shelf version, it's shown in my avatar.  I've downsized so I cut 5" off the uprights and eliminated one shelf.

Not sure if this qualifies as C and C, but there you have it..............FWIW.

I am totally down with sunnydaze's rack idea.  The slotted 80/20 Aluminum Extrusion material is outstanding to work with.  Although my response was directed at Early B. about needing a rack for his amps..  But I didn't read his post carefully as he has solved the problem and I thought he was asking for suggestions.  Mine was essentially to make a pair of amp stands from two cutting boards and eight threaded spikes.  Similar to the Mapleshade stuff.

There have been a lot of great recommendations in this thread even if not all have fallen in the C&C guidelines.  I say keep 'em coming! :thumb:
