The production transformers are made for us by Dynakitparts. We have also tried Triode and Mangaquest transformers too with just fine musical results in testing. Kevin at Dynakitparts has simply been great to work with and he is making the polished stainless steel chassis for us too.
With our circuits the small amount of residual very high frequency overshoot that sometimes is seen on some output transformers is gone. It never was the transformer's fault, just less than perfect circuit design ahead of them.
The amp is supplied with National 6GH8A tubes, Sovtec 5AR4 tube, and matched quad sets of EH 6CA7 tubes at this time. These have given us excellent reliability and performance.
Power output is about 35W per channel. Noise is very low. Bandwidth is down 3 db at 50K Hz and 5 Hz.
Obviously the amplifiers are carefully bench tested and go through a 24 hour burn in in my reference system before shipping. Any issues with performance are of course put right before the amp goes out the door in our very special custom designed packaging material.
