Title: output impeadance
Post by: swisstrips on 9 Jan 2019, 12:37 am
Is there any info / spec on what the output impedance is for the L7?  I'm looking at pre-amps to mate with my L7 and would like to know.  Thanks

The output impedance is variable based on output tube.  From the ones we have measured you can see as follows:

The results are as follows:
101D:  4,2k
45:  1,9k
300B : 1,6 k
In balanced version the given values are PER PHASE.

I would caution that if the output impedance comes off the tube, it will vary tube to tube.  And the output impedance also varies with load.  So, yeah, it varies...  That said, no DHT used in a Lampizator should have an output impedance that exceed 5k.  The tube data sheet should give you a good idea of the plate resistance which will come close to equaling the output impeadance.

Great, thanks for the info guys.  I'll look at the data sheet (Genalex Gold Lion PX300b)
