Starting at the bottom price wise, look at JBL 305 Mk2 or Kali LP-6 v2. Moving up Dynaudio BM5 Mk3. Then the Neumann KH120 II. Next I'd pick Buchardt A10. Finally the Kii Three. Have owned/listened to most of them at home. All are great for the price. Suggest you find a good room to start with (not tiny/squarish, well insulated, and dedicated to listening). EQ is the frosting on the cake and can't substitute for a proper room. My dedicated room is 8ft x 13ft x 21ft, well insulated and well treated.
