An extremely generous gentleman in Wisconsin gave me his Sony ST-J75 tuner, vintage 1981-82, for the cost of shipping. A have always had a great love of tuners and am lucky to be within the listening area of WRTI, a wonderful classical and jazz station in Philly. This is really a special tuner in every respect, except appearance (which is modest to say the least)--sensitivity and selectivity, and most importantly, musicality, with an expansive sound stage to boot. This tuner is not quite the secret that it was a few years ago, but you might be able to find one for around $100 or less (I see one is currently advertised on Ebay for $110) and find yourself in audio bliss.
