Extra funky, indeed - love it!

George was once in the greatest Mothers line-up (IMO) and he doesn't appear to have aged much in the intervening years (45 years, now, since the Roxy show). I saw Napoleon Murphy Brock (sax player, vocalist and imaginary pygmy pony cowboy in the linked video below) with Dweezil a few years ago, and he's aged just as well. If I had to pick a favorite band of all time, this would be it. The video editing hurts my eyes, but it's not like that on the blu-ray release of the Roxy '73 concert - an absolute must have! Here's a different kind of funky - 'Montana'.

The other thread about crap songs reminded me how much the sissy-ballad incarnation of Chicago provokes my acid reflux.

It's a shame when you consider how unique the Chicago Transit Authority lineup was, once upon a time....

I don't like rap and I don't like bluegrass. But I dig that.
I'm confused now, and feel I need to do some soul searching.

I enjoyed the whole 22 minutees. Very tasty and funky—and very seasoned pros. The drummer was clean and cool; someone said he works for the FBI and it looks plausible.
Great mix, too—good snare sound.

Yes indeed!
I am on night number two of diggin into the Bob Reynolds scene. As it turns out, that video wasn't planned, wasn't rehearsed much, and basically was a big "cliff dive" (as Bob calls it). He'd played with these individuals before, but never as a "unit". I'm contemplating throwing some money at Mr. Reynolds, and found that his entire discography can be bought (on FLAC, no less) for $54. There's the back story of how this video "accidentally", turned into a video, and album.

This song is like when a freaked-out-rabid-super-fast bumble bee is making you do the "holy shit" dance; from start to finish. I love the empty Lays and Doritos bags...
