Albert's built-in bass amp design does have the advantage of ensuring that the sonic signature of the main amp is carried through to the woofers by using the main amp's output to drive a built-in bass amp. During the design phase of the 100's, this configuration was considered, but it was thought that with a purely passive implementation, user's would have the maximum flexibility in their amplifier choice(s).

Development and manufacturing of the passive tower was a huge challenge in itself. It just wasn't in the cards to build both passive and active tower versions... at least not at this moment.

Doesn't the Philippines still have air travel? If you're short on cash surely you could list one of you power cords on A'gon to raise the fare. It won't be the same without ya bro!

Well guys I had to cancel the trip to Chicago. I injured my lower back last week and have been nursing it since with stretching exercises and meds but here it is one day before the 4 hour drive and it just isn't going to happen. I have cancelled our room at the hotel and called Albert to let him know. That's important because I owe he and Damon a beer. Maybe next time. Very disappointed to say the least.

Thanks Jack but I've been fighting lower back issues for some 44 years so have been there done that on just about everything including injections. Just have to wait it out. Hope you guys have a great show and expect to see photos and summaries here.
