Chores done for the day, enjoying Szabo with this Post Shift Pils from Jack's Abby Brewing. And the album of 60's hits are much better sounding than I thought they'd be, Gabor keeps the 'cheese' out of his treatment of these well-worn songs. His version of "Walk Away Renee" really shines.

Nice!... at first it seemed a lot like some of the Bobo Stenson trio albums, the way time is broken up is maybe a little more challenging tho' and not a million light years away from some Nik Bartsch releases. Great recording!

Nice et, agreed he simply has a way of revisiting some standards that works without being 'elevator music'. An artist to be sure.
