Yeah, I am diligent about checking to be sure everything in my shop is off before leaving. I've left my old Fluke 8010a on a couple of times and it has the battery option. Some years ago I replaced them with NiMh, so not as bad as the original NiCd but damn annoying so these days I check carefully.
