SP3 subwoofer connection question
« on: 6 Sep 2018, 07:06 am »
My subwoofer has only RCA inputs. The sub recommends connecting the "L" and "R" jacks for "best results".

From my SP3, whats my best option?
  • XLR from SP3 to RCA, then a "Y" RCA cable into the sub?
  • RCA from SP3 to RCA, then a "Y" RCA cable into the sub?
  • RCA from SP3 to RCA into the sub (no "Y" cable)?

Without knowing the sub you are using, I can only provide a general recommendation.  Go with option 3.  In general, the fewer adapters you use to connect components, the better.

Usually subwoofers allow for a single input into the left channel.  I would go RCA from the SP3 into the subwoofer L.
