"Feed your head, feed your head" - Grace Slick

While Grace may have had a different substance in mind, since many on this forum are over 30, there is no better time to prepare your brain and CNS/PNS for the "long haul".

I might suggest looking into two seemingly effective nutrients;

1) Gingko Biloba

2) Coconut Oil

While there are always studies for and against Gingko Biloba, it would appear to be a reasonably safe bet and I have been taking it for over 15 years with no bad effects.

However the new kid on the block is Coconut Oil (which is 92% Saturated Fat!!!) and it is showing promise in any number of Brain and Neural Tissue related degenerative diseases. (Like MS, ALS, Alzheimers, Parkinson's and others)

Lots of info out there and I am not going to reproduce it here, but take a GOOGLE look around.

Here are a couple Coconut Oil related bits:

I use coconut oil for cooking and use coconut milk for drinking.  Then again, I'm on low carb and think the evidence "against" saturated fat is scientifically unsound.
