Replacement speakers
« on: 31 Oct 2003, 01:19 am »
I have 4 older Advent Heritage speakers that I use as part of my home thater system. The 8 inch woofers are starting to dry rot and the foam is coming off around the outer edge. What would be a good replacement speaker and where could I purchase them. Thanks,

Hi Andrew.  You will get a better response if post in the general section of the Audio Circle rather than here which is for a specific manufacturer.

Thanks!

Sean,

You may want to move this thread to another circle...

Andrew,
Assuming you're happy with the sound/size of the Advents, why not have them refoamed or foam them yourself??

There are two companies in Fla. that offer DIY foam at about $20/pair; check eBay.
