wiring a simple passive volume control
« on: 13 Oct 2019, 06:19 pm »
Years ago I made a very simple passive volume controller using two 10k alps potentiometers for left and right volume, and two pairs of rca inputs/outputs. I'd like to make one again, but can't recall how to wire the darn thing. Does anyone have a wiring diagram, or some simple instructions?

It's a Radio Shack project from start to finish: two 10k audio-taper pots (#271-1721), two pairs of rca jacks, and a 4"x 6" plastic project box.

Thanks in advance!

When you hook it up, it might sound better that a lot of active preamps.
Let’s us know how it’s sounds.
I built the same type passive preamp in my first real good sounding system.
Cheers!
