International living and power supply needs

Hi All,

Looks like I will be leaving Japan in half a year or so for another international school. The issue is that it could be in Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, Beijing, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Aberdeen, or even New Delhi.  The power delivery in each country varies from 240-100V and 50 or 60Hz.   Since I've been wanting a power conditioner anyway to remove the horrible noise in the lines I've been thinking it'd be wise to get a unit that can take anything in and spit 100V/60Hz out (what the Odyssey gear is biased for, and what my Sony SCD-1 takes). I've seen models where you can choose one input but not a unit that can handle it all. Have any of you seen one or could recommend one?  If I have to, I can wait until I know where I am headed next but the odds are that I will only be there for four-six years at most and then moving on again so I'd like to purchase once and be done with it.

I may have found what I need here: http://www.tecknowledgey.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=126_151&products_id=1759&osCsid=8f01e23ca6865b5e606f940985cb58ca

Lord is it ugly, though...

If I only want to do a step-down in voltage I can go much cheaper: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zr-49-en-70-1pnk.html but I am not sure what sort of power is needed.  What do the amps draw at somewhat raucous levels?
