Electratube connector question
« on: 21 Apr 2013, 11:19 pm »
Does the electratube connectors make the back of the speaker flush? The reason I am asking is I am considering using these wall brackets:http://hangmanproducts.com/collections/tv-speaker-mounts/products/speaker-hanging-kit

The "tube" itself stands proud of the enclosure by about 1/16" at it's thickest point. The stud (and wire) stick straight out though and would prevent you from being able to mount the speakers against a wall.

Danny's binding post cups would work with those mounts though. Of course, you could always create a pocket during construction in which you could install the tube connectors.

Thank you for the information. That is what I was afraid of. Since I am taking an existing N3s, I am probably to going to attach a frame that will bump the speaker out from the wall to give clearance. Then attach the brackets to that frame.
I would much rather build a set of stands, but its either attach to the wall or go without speakers.
