Since you are remodeling, you can put the kegerator in the garage or another room and run a cold line to your bar. Talk to your local beer distributor and see who service and sets these up. It will cost more, but your room will be quiet.

Long runs are a pita and need glycol chillers.
I’ve decided to just put one in the garage and buy pitchers...

Yeah. I take my beer as seriously as my audio. Frosted glasses and plastic need not apply.
I think I’m just gonna do something larger in my brewery workshop.

Just get yourself a couple of stainless steel double walled growlers. You can fill those up and leave them in your listening room for hours and they will stay cold. On the cheap-Monoprice has some, as well as TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and Marshalls. Done.
