Bill Baker from Response Audio was influential in my purchase of the DAC products.  He indicated that the amps sound very musical with the LS series.  You and I won't be the first.

Suffice to say, I am very pleased with the Cherry Plus. It does not have the sonic signature of traditional solid state amps nor does it sound like a solid state/tube hybrid amp either, both types I have owned. When I have some some more time with it under my belt, I will post my thoughts. Thank you Tommy!

Well Lapsan, the headroom is rather luxurious. I am slowly putting on the hours - perhaps 40-50 hours in total. The Cherry Plus has a very unique sonic signature - not solid state, not pure tube, and not tube-hybrid. It's quite pleasing, but it's taking some time to get acquainted. Both the upper treble and bass are loosening up.

The Onkyo might seem to be odd in this setup but the room correction is exceptionally good and in my ears it was more important that the last nTH of transparency. I have used the Tact 2.2 in the past.

Still waiting.  The preamp should be there when I get back from Americas Cup on Tuesday.  It may need burn in and I hope the charger and battery are there as well.
