Introduction of Michael Hubbard
« on: 30 Nov 2015, 09:35 pm »
Hello Audio Circle members, my name is Michael Hubbard, my handle is "Hubb" and I am a retired member of the consumer electronics workforce.  I spend thirty years of my life helping consumers plan, purchase and use hifi and home theater equipment at a Pacific Northwest based HiFi salon none initially as Magnolia Hi Fi then later as Magnolia Audio Video.  In 1999 the owner/founder decided it was time to retire and sold the company to Best Buy.  Now you see Magnolia Design Studios inside Best Buy Locations.  I have long been a devotee and purveyor of Tube Electronics married to Electrostatic speakers, but am seriously considering taking the next step in the "Keep It Simple Stupid" plan of action and get into SET amplifiers and single driver speakers.  I've been following this site and others for years learning much along the way.  Now I hope to share what I've learned along the path with others.

Welcome.  In your corner of the country, you'll easily find small tube amps and single driver speakers close by.

Welcome Michael :thumb:
There is plenty of FR drivers today for DIY.
I would suggest Alnico in a big BR box.
Forgive my arrogance, you being an expert
with extensive experience know all this.

Welcome Michael, which Magnolia location did you work at? I probably bought something from you in the past!
