Not much posting lately, so I thought I throw up a couple of recent pics... each extremely different from each other.
I look forward to seeing other's photos soon.

1) At sundown, a doorway at the Ohio River Flood Wall in Paducah, KY.

2) A North American, Female Finch in Flight

Enjoy!  :thumb:

This dove built its nest in the most unusual of places... high above the traffic on South Congress Avenue in Austin, TX.

I know there's lots of St. Louis homeboys that follow this thread. Here's a couple of snapshots of a local, St. Louis institution.

Ted Drewes Frozen Custard on Grand Avenue. Yum!

Saturday was hell hot, and this was our stop on the way to the airport. The storm came crashing down about an hour later!

    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

I thought you would like this photo, test pilot George Aird eject in 1962 from an English Electric Lightning:

Usually, when you want to take out a single tractor, you don't use the whole plane. Just sayin.

Old fighter pilot.

It's also a long, lonely walk back for the pilot.

Ok, ok, so I didn't take this myself with my Iphone. But I could have - that is if I was actually the JunoCam filming last month during Juno's seventh Jovian flyby. The intrepid orbiter was roughly 10,274 miles (16,535 km) above Jupiter’s cloud tops, peering into its Great Red Spot and multicolored bands.

For those not in the path of totality, here are a couple of shots. These are handheld, no tripod or remote. I did a bit of post processing to sharpen things up a bit....added some vignetting too

...at the moment of totality

notice all the little eclipses the leaves on the tree created

Oh, I used my eclipse glasses as the filter for my portable camera

A few of mine. The bottom one is from a pinhole box my daughter and I made.
(Note; Using Facebook as the photo hosting site. Not sure why two are blown up so big)
