Top of the line dynamic speakers often use an Mtm alignment. Would this benefit a ribbon speakers?

Both the RM40 and V60 are MTM, or more precisely WMTMW
layouts.

The speaker has to be quite tall for this arrangement to work well.  Ribbon tweeters have limited vertical dispersion and should be close to ear level for the seated listener.

I would recommend looking here: http://www.vmpsaudio.com/loudspeakers.htm  Lin

I would, except I have been there and have owned some. I asked because I was 99 percent sure big B would respond with the key salient point. In this case, the limits are due to ht vs vertical dispersion. On top of that, my ulterior  motive was to show a potential vmps customer that unlike some companies, B provides quick answers. This also answers why small ribbon speakers aren't the best candidate for an mtm layout like cones.  Again, only if at ear level.
