Hi everybody
I have been enjoying using my Ipod touch as a wireless remote control for the music library on my Mac Mini. However, after moving I do not use a WiFi network but a USB modem for Internet access.
I wonder, is there a way to connect  the iPod touch and the Mac Mini without a WiFi network?
Any insights are apreciated.

Solution: Set-up ad hoc network?

"To set up an AdHoc network, click on the WiFi icon at the top of the screen and select ‘Create Network’. A new window pops up, and you can name the network whatever you like; the default is the computer name. If you want, it even allows you to set a password for the network. On your iPhone (or iPod Touch), turn on the WiFi and select the network. Enter the password (if necessary) and you are linked! You can now launch the Remote app and control iTunes."

In addition:
"Go into the Sharing Preferences, and enable Internet Sharing. Share your Ethernet connection to devices using Airport. (You can optionally connect to the internet via Ethernet, otherwise you will only have a local network, and no internet access). Using this Internet Sharing method, I was able to successfully connect to my iTunes Library using my iPod Touch Remote app. Works perfectly, and allows me to control my laptop at parties (with no wifi) where I don't want to be struck right next to the laptop."
