My AV2 (actually, av3 hybrid) package arrived today. I must say that Danny has go to be the quickest packer/shipper I've ever dealt with.
I'll be working on the project tonight and I'm a total newbie. The cabinets are ready for everything to be put in. Here is my questions/steps. I'd appreciate any correction or confirmation:
1) solder the crossover on a scrap piece of thin plywood. glue crossover to plywood, glue plywood to bottom of cabinet.
2) line cabinet with home fibreglass insulation and lightly stuff the cabinet with it, leaving clear space between drivers and ports.
3) stick wires from crossover out driver/tweeter/cap holes. solder wires to drivers/tweeters/end caps
4) drill pilot holes for screws
5) put weather stripping between all drivers/tweeters/end cap/port to fully seal them
6) glue ports in place
7) glue end terminal in pace
screw drivers/tweeters in place.
burn in for 75 hrs or so.
is this basically right?
